NSW floods leave small town north of Port Macquarie still isolated with no power, more than a week on

Residents in a small community north of Port Macquarie say their town looks like a "war zone" in the wake of the worst flooding of their lifetimes.

The North Shore community, on the northern side of the Hastings River on the Mid-North Coast, has been isolated, and some residents are still without power, since floods ripped through homes over a week ago.

Body of elderly woman missing in floodwaters found on riverbank on NSW Mid North Coast

The body of an elderly woman who went missing on the NSW Mid North Coast days before once-in-100-year floods hit the region has been found on the riverbank of a farm near Gloucester.

NSW Police have confirmed a farmer notified them at 5.15pm yesterday after making the tragic discovery on his property on Barrington West Road in Barrington.
